Another week in the books, another fifty percent success rate in the books. But that really is not success.
I can and will do better.
This week started off very well. I hit two of two on Thursday—I tweeted on Thursday (before the games' kickoffs) that I was picking New England Patriots -7.5 and the Oregon Ducks +2.5. (These picks were also posted on Sportschump.net.)
So far... so good. Is this the week I hit 100 percent?

My picks are in bold.
New England -7.5 v Miami
Miamians don't fare well in the cold. The Pats are an easy pick.
Oregon +2.5 at Arizona State
Anytime the Ducks are getting points, I'm on board.
Louisiana Tech -12.5 at Rice
This is a personal pick. La. Tech has been like family to me ever since my husband was diagnosed with cancer last May. He is in remission but my love for the Bulldog family runs deep!
Illinois +6.5 at Penn State
I'm not sold on the Nittany Lions' offense. I am sold on the Illini playing up to their competition. Illinois will probably lose but it will make the final score close enough to hit the cover.
USC -5.5 at California
The Trojans still have some defensive issues to work out but they have vastly improved since... well... Steve Sarkisian was terminated. Cal has fallen apart in the last few weeks. This should be a rout.
Florida -2.5 v Georgia at Jacksonville, Florida.
The Gators are more confident every week while Georgia is trying to find its identity. Florida just looks like the better team.
Clemson -10.5 at North Carolina State
Clemson is looking like a CFP contender. North Carolina State should not pose too much of a problem unless Clemson gets caught looking ahead to Florida State.
Louisiana Monroe at -11.5 Louisiana Lafayette
I normally avoid rivalry games such as this game but I will make an exception if one team is clearly playing better than the other. Lafayette clearly is.
Stanford at +12.5 Washington State
Halloween night at The Palouse? Weird things happen in Pullman (and in Corvallis, Oregon) all the time. Halloween makes this even an easier pick. An upset would not be totally shocking.
New York Jets at +1.5 Oakland Raiders
I am a Washington and Oakland fan. I like Oakland playing at home with a lot of confidence after beating San Diego last week.
