College Football's Week Four Pick 'ems: Lisa's Picks for the Week

September 24, 2015

Thank goodness Pigskin Grind isn't a tout service. For the second straight week, Lisa only hit three of 10 picks against the spread. Season tally is 11 of 30.

This week holds a major opportunity for a bounceback.

As always, PigskinGrind is not a tout service and is not liable for any monetary gains or losses incurred by a person who wagers these picks. These selections are for entertainment purposes only.

Picks are in bold.

Oregon State +15.5 v Stanford

The Cardinal may be a tad hungover from that great victory over USC. The Beavers also have a pretty stout defense.

Virginia v Boise State -2.5

Yes, the Broncos are without their starting quartertback Ryan Finley.  But Virginia struggled with William & Mary last week.

East Carolina +8.5 v Virginia Tech

The Hokies' defense is a major concern, especially against a team that has played Virginia Tech tough the last two years.  Take the Pirates and the points. Hokies should be on upset alert.

Minnesota v Ohio +10.5

The Golden Gophers don't look so golden. The Bobcots have already beaten Marshall. Take the points.

Central Michigan +26.5 at Michigan State

The Spartans have struggled against Western Michigan and Air Force. Why not take the Chippewas?

Middle Tennessee State +6.5 at Illinois

First team to 50 wins. In high scoring games, I like the underdog.

Texas Tech +8.5 v TCU

The Red Raiders' offense is humming. I think TCU wins but it's going to be a very tight game.

Utah +10.5 at Oregon

I love Oregon's offense. But quarterback Vernon Adams has some lingering effects from a broken index finger and the Ducks' defense cannot stop... well, anything.

Georgia Southern -15.5 at Idaho

The Vandals are going to get trucked by the Eagles. Georgia Southern's rush offense (No. 6) averages over 330 yards per game. The Vandals' rush defense (No. 126) is ranked third from last. Lay the points.

Ball State +18.5 at Northwestern

The better MAC teams usually give Big Ten teams all they can handle. I'm going to continue the MAC love fest here and take the Cardinals and the points.
